Works Offline — Install as an App

CompressEazy is a Progressive Web App (PWA). That means you can install it on your device and use it exactly like a native app — no internet connection required. Your images are processed 100% on your device, so nothing ever gets uploaded, even when you're offline.

How to Install CompressEazy

1
Chrome / Edge (Desktop)

Click the install icon in the address bar (right side), then click "Install". CompressEazy will open in its own window and appear in your app launcher.

2
Safari (iPhone / iPad)

Tap the Share button , scroll down and tap "Add to Home Screen". The app icon will appear alongside your other apps.

3
Chrome (Android)

Tap the three-dot menu and select "Install app" or "Add to Home screen". It'll install instantly — no app store needed.

What Works Offline?

Once you visit the site, all pages and assets are cached automatically. The next time you open it — even without Wi-Fi or mobile data — everything works instantly. When you reconnect, the app silently updates itself in the background.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. CompressEazy processes everything directly in your browser using HTML5 Canvas. Your images never leave your device — no upload, no server, no data collection. This also means it works fully offline once you've visited the site.

Will compressing reduce the quality of my image?

It depends on the quality setting you choose. At 70–80%, most images look virtually identical to the original while being 50–80% smaller. You can use the side-by-side comparison tool to check the result before downloading. For lossless formats like PNG, the tool re-encodes more efficiently without any quality loss.

What image formats are supported?

CompressEazy supports PNG, JPG/JPEG, WebP, HEIC (iPhone photos), BMP, and GIF as input. You can convert to JPG, PNG, WebP, or PDF as output. HEIC files from iPhones are automatically converted so you can use them anywhere.
